For Combilo B.V. in Waddinxveen, PGA Totaalinrichters realized the complete project furnishing of a renewed office environment where openness, collaboration, and comfort are central. The project, completed in April 2021, represented a total metamorphosis of the existing office of this specialist in the import, export, packaging, and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The design by Fokkema & Partners Architects stems from a modern and transparent vision of working. Large open spaces, fluid lines, and rounded shapes provide a soft and accessible appearance that immediately brings a sense of calm to the dynamic work environment.

By carefully aligning architecture, interior design, and the use of materials, an office was created that feels professional, warm, and inviting at the same time.

An interior that stimulates collaboration

The new workplace of Combilo was designed to bring people closer together. Open work zones, informal meeting spots, and various conference rooms ensure a natural interaction between focus and collaboration.

The rounded shapes within the interior soften the large open spaces and create a pleasant flow throughout the building. As a result, the office feels not only spacious but also accessible and comfortable for employees and visitors alike.

PGA Totaalinrichters translated this vision into an interior where every piece of furniture contributes to tranquility, ease of use, and aesthetics. The result is a work environment that feels intuitive and perfectly aligns with the daily dynamics of Combilo.

Innovative workplaces with the Ypsilon program

A special element within this project was the integration of the Ypsilon workplace program by Vepa, designed by Fokkema & Partners. For PGA Totaalinrichters, this marked the first realization using this innovative workplace concept.

The organic shapes and flexible structure of the program align perfectly with the architectural vision of the building. The workstations reinforce the open character of the office and contribute to an environment where flexibility, ergonomics, and collaboration are central.

The combination of custom work, thoughtful layouts, and high-quality materials results in a contemporary office environment that is ready for the future.

A thoughtful transformation from existing to innovative

The renovation of Combilo‘s office began with a complete transformation of the existing spaces. Based on a strong vision of modern working, an environment that is both functional and inspiring was built step by step.

By approaching architecture and interior as a single entity from the start, a harmonious project emerged in which light, space, and furnishings reinforce one another. Large open zones alternate with quiet consultation areas and meeting rooms that contribute to a pleasant work experience.

The end result is a contemporary office environment that perfectly matches the identity and ambition of Combilo as an innovative player within the fresh produce sector.
